Diamond Dynasty is still getting fresh content in December, and the latest program is a player program featuring Dennis Eckersley.
"Eck" famously began his career as a very successful Starting Pitcher, earning 150+ Wins while throwing nearly 2,500 innings. Beginning in 1987, Eckersley switched to full-time relief where he'd absolutely dominate. Eck would rack up 387 Saves during this stretch, and took home MVP and Cy Young award honors in 1992 when he tallied 51 Saves in 80 innings.

Eck wasn't exactly known as a fireballer, so his pitch mix and attributes don't line up with what you might expect from premium relievers these days. Still, Eck is an historically important player and programs highlighting underrated legends is always a good time. Better yet, another free Hall of Fame series card for collections.
