The latest refresh to Battle Royale's Flawless Choice Pack are here in MLB The Show 25. 95 overall versions of Barry Larkin and Tom Seaver. To earn this pack, you must go 10-0 in a single Battle Royale run which makes these cards fairly rare - at least until the Rewind packs catch up to them.
Let's take a closer look.
All-Star SS Barry Larkin (Cincinnati Reds) - #1 SS True Overall

I personally feel that Barry Larkin often feels like an afterthought in Diamond Dynasty, mostly due to timing of card releases. With the pace this year, Larkin getting a 95 overall card with this build does him quite a bit of justice. All-Star Larkin debuts as the #1 SS according to True Overall, and lands at #3 in Meta Overall.
With BR being arguably the most sweaty and challenging mode, the Flawless Choice Pack cards should probably be some of the best cards at their respective positions. Mission firmly accomplished.
Larkin features elite Contact against both sides with 111/104 splits and 100 Clutch for good measure. Low-Power against RHP at 69 is still quite nice, but 90 Power against LHP will make him a legitimate lefty-masher. Larkin also gets some tasty Quirks like Bad-Ball Hitter and Dead Red. Wrapping up the offensive profile with 97 Vision gives Larkin a pretty well-rounded offensive profile, especially at SS.
Fielding on this card isn't as exquisite as some Larkin cards, but it's also a 95 overall so some areas will lack. Still, Gold Fielding with 80 Reaction and 82 Speed should make him a solid defender. Note the rather weak Arm Strength of 77, however. You might find some tough plays in the hole wind up with a baserunner depending on the animation Larkin gets.
2nd Half Heroes SP Tom Seaver (New York Mets) - #4 SP True Overall

The other Flawless reward is one of my personal favorite pitchers in MLB The Show - Tom Seaver. Similar to Larkin, I feel like Seaver flies under the radar a bit each year. There's always Outlier flamethrowers and elite names available by the time we get a solid Seaver. That's not really any different here, but again I believe the pacing of power creep this year helps Seaver get some deserved shine.
Featuring 102 H/9, Seaver's other attributes feel a bit lacking by comparison. Notably, sub-100 Clutch at 98 is a bit disappointing and makes him feel more vulnerable with runners in scoring position. His K/9 and BB/9 are both a respectable 85 but overall the card doesn't feel as exciting as a 95 should? That might just be the Seaver fanboy in me wanting something sexier. I'm also saying that as a scrub that will probably never go 10-0 in BR and even earn the card, so what do I know.
Seaver will touch the upper 90's consistently and has pinpoint control on his 4-Seamer and Slider. He also boasts 99 Control on his Sinker, which does have a couple MPH difference from the 4-Seamer but perhaps not enough to truly separate the pitches on All-Star. With no real Quirks to speak of, Seaver's pitch mix also suffers from samey-ness in pitch speed differentials. The 4-Seamer and Sinker are close together, as are the 12-6 Curve and Changeup. His Slider can creep into the upper 80's, so he'll definitely require some savvy sequencing to be successful against experienced hitters.
There's your new Battle Royale Flawless rewards. Are you hitting BR to land one of these new cards?
