A new themed Mini Seasons is here that features the CPU teams with all Bronze and Silver players. This will make the games incredibly easy, even on harder difficulties.

This Mini Seasons is loaded with XP and packs for completing the various goals. The big hook in terms of rewards is intended to be the Mini Seasons Championship Player Rewind Choice Packs. This allows you to take any of the previous Championship rewards (Jose Altuve, Kyle Schwarber, Kris Bryant etc.) or choose a specified tier of premium pack. There's also a Rewind Choice Pack featuring the previous Booster Player Choice Pack rewards. You can still play and complete the original Mini Seasons challenges that feature these rewards, but this Run It Back challenge provides an easier CPU to tee off on.
There's a handful of goals that should be relatively easy to complete against the low-level CPU teams. These goals are mostly repeatable as well. For example, tallying 70 RBI in a single run rewards a 5-pack Ballin' and tallying 27 Strikeouts with three random Headliners packs. You can repeat this goals as often as you'd like.
This Mini Seasons run is jammed full of XP and packs, and can be a pretty consistent way to accumulate Stubs. It's also a very efficient way for players to work on collections, getting the reward cards without having to grind too hard.
Triple XP (WHAT)

For the first time ever, we're getting TRIPLE XP in MLB The Show 25. That's not a typo (surprisingly), it's a cold-hard fact.
Until September 12, earn Triple XP while simultaneously getting Double PXP. If you've been behind on content, now is the best time to jump back in as you'll blast through programs with ease and speed run the main Inning Program.
Headliners 30
The newest Headliners pack features Milestone Paul O'Neill of the New York Yankees.

A fine card that will no doubt underwhelm many. I've enjoyed using O'Neill cards since he was added to the game, but this 99 overall drops a little too late for me to give serious consideration to. O'Neill doesn't even crack the top-25 in RF or LF, so it'll be easy to pass him up as many players can probably already start a superior card. But it's also prudent to remember that not every single card can be a top-tier starter on every squad. Yankees theme teams rejoice, and players on a budget get an underappreciated legend to try out.
Chase Pack 25
Finally, a new Chase pack is upon us and it's time to pour one out for the real ones.

Close to two months after his 97 overall Boss card, Braves Hall of Famer Chipper Jones gets his annual 99 overall and it's unsurprisingly one of the best cards in Diamond Dynasty.
Milestone Chipper Jones celebrates Chipper's 400+ career Home Runs in grand fashion, making him the current #4 overall card in the game according to Meta Overall. Sitting at nearly max attributes across the board offensively, Milestone Chipper's "weakest" attribute is the 112 Power vs LHP. Yes, that is the lowest major offensive attribute on the card.
But wait! There's definitely more.
This Chipper also gets LF secondary eligibility beside the primary 3B, with 86 Fielding (!) to boot. That's insane for a Chipper card, as he's usually a more pedestrian fielder. We also see 74 Speed with 71 Stealing, all topping off a card with switch-hitting and one of the best swings Diamond Dynasty has to offer.
The fact that Chipper is a Chase card hurts. I'm not alone in lamenting this, as the community has been vocal all year with disappointment in how Chase packs have operated. These are special packs that are difficult to obtain, making the cards contained within rare. Rare cards are a good thing! Naturally, rarity makes the cards more expensive as well. So, the natural cycle dictates that huge names will be locked behind the Chase Pack wall.
To SDS' credit, they released a very good 97 overall that everyone had a chance to earn for free just by grinding the main Inning XP path. As we get into late season content, we're going to see more big names released and someone has to be locked behind collections and packs. It just feels like the balance this year has been too heavily in the premium packs and collections.
Or maybe I'm just a whiny Braves fan that probably won't get to use this card the rest of the year?
