Sunday night was the 2026 Major League Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and MLB The Show 26 celebrates with two new Hall of Fame series cards. Andruw Jones and Carlos Beltran are current legends in MLB The Show, so they deservedly get their Hall of Fame cards in-game as well.
The program features 99 OVR Hall of Fame Andruw Jones as the top reward, with a 97 OVR Finest Carlos Beltran also included. This is a great way for players to use a higher-tier Beltran even if they can't unlock the expensive collection reward. We'll talk more about that card later.
The program itself strays a bit from what we've seen this year. This program will definitely take longer to complete, with a healthy number of Moments highlighting both Andruw Jones and Carlos Beltran. The stat missions require a little more effort than usual, and the themed Conquest that also dropped has a bunch of stronghold games you'll have to play. I think the work is well worth it for Andruw, though.
This card is nuts! Willie Mays regarded Andruw Jones as the best defensive center fielder he had ever seen. That's lofty praise, and I'm delighted to see the 99 ratings across the board for AJ's defensive attributes. At Parallel 5, he'll be 99 in every defensive attribute, and I look forward to grinding out the Diamond Mods to morph him into an absolute machine.
Hall of Fame Conquest
You might as well grind out the associated Hall of Fame Conquest map. There's a ton of great pack rewards here, in addition to the 25 program stars you get in the Hall of Fame program.
Hall of Fame Mini Seasons
There's also a new Mini Seasons program available. There's not much here outside of the Hall of Fame name, as there are no additional card rewards. However, there's a healthy number of packs here that should be enticing enough to earn a playthrough.
Legends & Flashbacks Collection Update: New Collection Reward 99 OVR Hall of Fame Carlos Beltran
Yeah, this card is also nuts! Beltran was a legitimate 5-tool superstar at his peak, and he's everything Diamond Dynasty players want.
He's got elite contact, elite power, elite speed, elite defense, and an elite arm that will erase most runners with a perfect throw. He also has a buttery smooth, switch-hitting swing that will simply dominate in online play. This is one of the very best overall cards that will release during this game cycle, and it's a card that will be talked about for years.
Checking in over at the Collections page also reveals just how damn expensive this card is going to be for a long time.
As of publication, you're looking at a total cost between 4 Million Stubs and 9 Million Stubs. There's a total requirement of 30 collectable items, and I currently have around 18 or so without putting any extra effort in beyond what I was already working on. I've been playing non-stop all year and I'm still no where close.
That's a cool thing! It's something worthwhile to grind towards, while still having meaningful reasons to play inside Mini Seasons and Conquest with oodles of pack rewards.'
If you run into a Hall of Fame Beltran in the wild, godspeed and good luck.
How close are you to unlocking Beltran?
