Throughout the year, we've gotten some player-focused programs in different flavors. We saw the Spotlight programs early in the year, highlighting each of the three cover athletes. We also got Milestone programs for future Hall of Famers like Clayton Kershaw and Justin Verlander.
Now, we get a new program for Hall of Famer Lou Brock. This program is quick and easy to complete, and the ultimate reward is a 99 overall Hall of Fame version of the legend.

This card doesn't land in the top of the meta anywhere, but it's just a fun card of a fun player. Elite Contact and Clutch with Diamond Fielding on a 99 Speed/Stealing body is what you'd expect for Brock's best cards - and that's exactly what we get here.
Diamond Quest

There's also a new Diamond Quest map that features two Hall of Fame cards as the Epic Rewards.
Eddie Murray is one of my all-time favorite legends and I absolutely love using him in MLB The Show. He has an amazing swing that plays well regardless of attributes, and his 99 overall Hall of Fame card doesn't have the best attributes - but I don't care. If I end up not using him, it's simply to change pace as I use him every single year. But if you're looking for new blood to try out, give Eddie Murray a shot. He's also a Diamond fielder.
Lee Smith is also one of my favorite legends every year. This Hall of Fame version gets the elite attributes you'd expect, with 121 H/9, 114 K/9, a somewhat surprising 109 BB/9, and 125 Clutch. Add in the pitch mix that features an Outlier 4-Seamer with a disgusting mix featuring a Slider, Cutter, and Forkball that all have 90+ Break and you get an elite arm. Whereas Murray might not crack my squad just for variety, it's hard for me to pass up a Smith card.
Diamond Quest has been one of my favorite additions to The Show this year, though there is frustration if you complete the map without getting the Epic rewards. Still, it's a decent way to grind out Stubs if you replay the maps. They don't typically take too much time, so you can replay and try to get the Stronghold rewards if you miss them the first time around.
Anything that adds more cards to the pool and cheapens collections will be good for everyone.
Have you enjoyed Diamond Quest this year?
