It's officially September, which means the final August Spotlight drop lands in Diamond Dynasty today. There is a new Event Program, Chase Pack, and Conquest map on the menu as well.

August Spotlight Drop 4 Program Breakdown
Standard fare here for the most part. Alex Bregman becomes the final August Spotlight Program reward required for completing the Lightning collection.
Bregman has a great swing that always plays above the attributes. Diamond fielding at each of his eligible positions is a nice bonus to the juicy offensive attributes. Bregman's 125 Clutch effectively makes him 125/115 and 125/108 Contact/Power split with runners in scoring position. That will always play with Diamond fielding and a sweet swing.

Kodai Senga was sent to the bullpen in June and gets a disgusting card as a reliever here in August. The attributes are nearly maxed out across the board, with a 100 MPH 4-seamer and trademark forkball leading the pitch mix. You get a sweeper, cutter, and sinker on this card that all have low usage rates, so expect sizable PAR sizes on those pitches. Still, this is absolutely a reliever I'd happily add to my bullpen.
Josh Bell has always been a low-key legend in Diamond Dynasty, and he gets a 99 OVR here that has outstanding offensive attributes on the switch-hitting body. An outstanding DH or pinch hitter on just about any squad.
August Spotlight Lightning Collection
Completing each week of the August Spotlight content rewards you with Angel Genao, Gunnar Henderson, Nick Sogard, and Alex Bregman in your binder. Collecting each of them in the Spotlight tab will unlock 99 OVR Jac Caglianone.
Not the most impressive Lightning reward we've seen, but Cags is a fun young player with a great swing. Cards like this just struggle for "relevance" since the depth is crazy as the 99 OVR cards roll out. This dude has an absolute cannon for an arm if you decide to play him in the outfield.
August Spotlight Retro Lightning Collection
Each month also gets a Retro Lightning collection, highlighting a flashback performance within the same month. August 2026 belongs to Kris Bryant, who I admittedly forgot existed.
Kris Bryant arrived like a firestorm in 2015, winning Rookie of the Year for the Chicago Cubs and following that season with an MVP-winning 2016 at the age of 24. Unfortunately, injuries derailed Bryant's momentum, and he hasn't eclipsed 100 games played in a season since 2021.
Bryant's Retro Lightning card highlights August of his MVP-winning season and features an impressive mix of positional eligibility. The offensive attributes are great across the board, with Vision being the only sub-100 attribute. Bryant also comes with Diamond fielding at 3B, and retains his Diamond shield at each eligible position if you get him to Parallel 5 (P5).
I'm tempted to work towards this Bryant because I haven't really used Bryant cards in the past. You never know when a player will retire, and once they do, we often don't see them for several years. The positional flexibility allows me to add him without really sacrificing anything, and I'm not really using Stubs for anything since the Live Series collection is still ridiculously overpriced for what it is at this point.

Load up your best Flashback and Live Series cards to participate in the 7th Inning Stretch Event. Completing the associated program will reward you with one each of August Spotlight Packs 1-4, plus an August Spotlight Any Pack.

Lightning Conquest Map
Last but not least, a new Conquest map has also landed. This one is definitely worth doing, as you'll get June, July, and August Spotlight Any packs in addition to a Vault pack for conquering all 8 strongholds.
