Now that the All-Star break has come and gone, we're officially into the second half of the 2026 Major League Baseball season. That means Diamond Dynasty gets back on track with the routine weekly drops, in addition to the new Hall of Fame Event that launched today.

The Spotlight cards this week are pretty...weak. So, I'll selfishly highlight my guy Jim Jarvis of the Atlanta Braves. The 25-year old rookie has been a blast to watch, and he's quietly put up close to 1.0 bWAR in fewer than 100 at-bats. Despite Captains being left untouched and unusable at this point, Jarvis plugs a huge need at shortstop on my Braves theme team with huge potential thanks to Parallel Mods.
He's already a Diamond fielder with roughly 100+ in all major offensive attributes. This feels like a fun Power/Speed Diamond Mod candidate, which should transform him into a 99 OVR Corey Seager-lite.
Hall of Fame Event
A new Event has launched celebrating the 2026 Hall of Fame class. With a looming collection next week, it feels safe to assume it will be Hall of Fame related. Perhaps Jeff Kent as a new legend?
Until then, we get a new Event and Program that has a pretty great reward path. If you complete the entire program, you'll earn 99 OVR Hall of Fame Trevor Hoffman as well as an Event Rewind pack and Premier Choice Pack. This is a great opportunity to chase some missing cards in the premium sets!
The database is still merging all of the new data, so I don't have a final Meta Overall ranking to wax poetic about. However, I can tell you that I will be grinding for this Hoffman as quickly as possible, and he'll be in my bullpen for the rest of the year. Regardless of any ranking: Hoffman should be deadlier than ever with the gameplay changes this year. Beardown should turn his already lethal circle change into a literal nightmare in the hands of skilled pitchers.

I love Willie McGee. He's one of my favorite new legends that's been added in recent years, and this card absolutely rules. He's very much in the Tim Raines mold, which means he's disgustingly good. Sadly, he'll also be disgustingly expensive. I pulled my first bundle in months to get a crack at the Chase Pack but ended up with Live Series Hunter Greene instead of Mr. McGee.
Never content, I officially begin manifesting the reality where I get Chase Pack 19 dropped in a regular Show Pack and ultimately land 99 OVR Awards Willie McGee.
This card fully maxed out with P5 Diamond Parallel Mods will be insane.
