We've been getting some fun programs within Diamond Dynasty inside MLB The Show 25 lately. Celebrating player milestones is always a good time, and the Video Game Numbers program does exactly that while rewarding some Milestone cards.
Program Breakdown
The program requires 75 total stars to complete, and there's some freedom of choice in how to do it.
If you're fine with grinding Moments, you can tackle fifteen total Moments that are each worth 5 stars each. This will fully complete the program and earn all rewards.

Or you can ply your trade in-game with pretty easy stat missions like tallying 6 Hits with SS, pitching 9 innings with SP, and getting 2 Saves with a CP. You can do this anywhere, but you can also tackle the program themed Controller Conquest map and plow through the missions on your way to finishing the map. Doing so earns 50 total stars, and you'll most likely complete the stat missions along the way (or come very close).
Of course, you can work out any combination you prefer here which has been a great balance from SDS lately.

95 OVR Milestone Reid Detmers - #6 SP True Overall

Proud owner of the slowest wind-up animation in history, Milestone Reid Detmers will wreak havoc on players unfortunate enough to cross his path. Detmers has an interesting enough pitch mix, but also lacks real Control on his entire repertoire. His primary 4-Seamer features 76-Control, and while his 96 BB/9 should have healthy enough PAR sizes, the consistency here is going to be challenging.
There's a massive speed differential between the 4-Seamer and Sweeping Curve, with the Change and Slider coming it roughly the same respective speed. Patient hitters will do well with a keen eye, and the lack of true stuff might make Detmers batting practice for many hitters in Ranked.
96 OVR Milestone Cal Ripken Jr. - #3 SS True Overall
.png)
A pretty solid iteration of Cal Ripken Jr. at 96 overall. The 6-hit game commemorated with this Milestone card is from 1999, just a couple seasons before Ripken retired. That means old-man Ripken isn't very spry with his 44 Speed, but otherwise this is a solid card.
Despite the lack of Speed, Ripken still features a solid 75 Fielding with 70 Reaction and a solidly strong arm. There's plenty of better defensive options, but the offense is where the card obviously shines.
114/122/113 Contact/Clutch splits with 76/89 Power splits makes Ripken a very solid hitter. With 112 Vision also along for the ride, Milestone Ripken should put the ball in play regularly for you.
Closing Thoughts
A relatively easy program to grind with some Milestone cards to feed collections is a big win. If you're looking for ways to grind in the 5th Inning XP path, programs like this will greatly fuel that grind. Free cards aren't always uber-meta darlings, but Cal Ripken Jr. is a usable SS for those looking for some new energy there. Reid Detmers' ungodly slow animation will you have intentionally walking batters just to pitch from the stretch, but sometimes odd looks and timing can have great effects online.
