The third Ranked Season in MLB The Show 25 delivers two strong early-game additions to Diamond Dynasty with 93 Overall Pedro Martinez and 93 Overall George Springer. For these being early-game versions of popular players, they pack a mean punch.
Standout SP Pedro Martinez (New York Mets) - #2 SP True Overall
While many remember Pedro’s dominance with Boston, this Ranked reward gives him a Mets card, giving Mets fans a chance to use the Hall of Famer with a very good rotational piece.
This Pedro is packed with Quirks, including Outlier on his 4-Seamer, and good attributes across the board for any SP. Pedro's arsenal features the Outlier Fastball, his trademark Circle Change with 99 Break, and a Slurve, Slider, Cutter trio that should help keep hitters off-balance.
Pedro has had a tendency to get hit hard in the last few years, so it'll be fun to see if this Mets version fools hitters more than his its predecessors.
True Overall loves him as he sits #2 on the SP board.
Standout CF George Springer (Toronto Blue Jays) - #3 CF True Overall
Standout George Springer is an interesting outfield option as he debuts as the #3 CF according to True Overall.
Outfield always gets crowded because of the plethora of options, but the secondary position purge in MLB The Show 25 has created space for cards to truly shine. Springer has long been a DD-darling as he packs a powerful swing, and nostalgia always brings back memories of his epic Postseason card a few years back.
This iteration of Springer features very balanced offensive attributes across the board, with Diamond 93 Fielding and above-average 78 Speed. This Springer will play very good defense for you, and packs enough punch and pop to not only warrant a starting spot; but very well could hit at the top of your lineup.
Closing Thoughts
Ranked 3 brings a couple of very solid rewards in Pedro and Springer. While SP and OF always end up overloaded, it's nice to get some fun variations of popular players. These are certainly worthy cards and live up to the expectation of World Series rewards.
