The Pete Alonso Program in MLB The Show 25 celebrates Alonso becoming the all-time home run leader for the New York Mets. On August 12, 2025, Alonso entered into franchise immortality when he passed Darryl Strawberry with his 253rd home run.
That means another Milestone program with a free 99 overall at the end.

Milestone Pete debuts as the #5 1B in Diamond Dynasty. This version of Alonso is almost precisely what you'd expect, with 125 Power against both sides and 100/109/108 Contact RHP/LHP/Clutch splits. Also of note offensively is the inclusion of Bad Ball Hitter and Dead Red Quirks, which are two of the best a hitter can have.
Outside of that, it's probably a foregone conclusion that the card has bad Fielding and low Speed. Not exactly the most important attributes on a slugging 1B like Pete Alonso, but we're deep in the year now where you can find other cards that are notably better in those spots. Still, Alonso is a legitimate slugger and I've enjoyed his swing when I've used his cards.
For Mets fans, this is a fun addition to theme teams and a free Milestone card at minimum for anyone not actively using him.
