A new collection has been added to Diamond Dynasty in MLB The Show 25. This collection features an "upgrade" of sorts for many of the Negro Leagues legends we've seen this year.
Throughout the year, Storylines has brought new iterations of some of the most iconic Negro Leagues players in history. Celebrating their careers and contributions to the game, the Storylines mode also rewarded Diamond Dynasty cards for the featured players.
Now, players can unlock 99 overall Negro Leagues versions of most of the legends featured this way. There's a select few excluded, such as Josh Gibson, as they've already received a 99 overall card or will receive one in the near future. SDS was sure to mention that every Negro Leagues legend will get a 99 overall, so if a player isn't in this collection, keep an eye out in the future.
Completing Negro Leagues Collection
The Negro Leagues Collection has its own tab in Diamond Dynasty, making it extremely easy to collect your lower-tiered cards for the 99 overalls.

Each player has their own respective tab, where you collect the lower version. Buck Leonard is the designated Captain for the Negro League series, and his 99 overall card will boost all other Negro League series cards.
If you haven't completed the required Storylines for a respective card, you can still complete the Storylines modes to unlock those cards and collect them for the 99 overalls.
One important note is this now makes the 90 overall John Donaldson collection easier to complete. With a flood of new collectable cards, those that have been lagging behind can now complete that collection. While the 90 overall Donaldson isn't as sexy as the 99 overall that was released as a collection recently, it does provide a voucher toward most of the other big legends and flashback collections.
Team Affinity Update

The next Team Affinity drop will be next week featuring the 2025 Finest series. Before then, SDS added a massive update to the My Journey tab in Team Affinity.
Each of the 30 MLB teams now has a new legends and flashbacks collection in their respective Team Affinity folder. If you collect 10 legends and flashbacks for each respective team, you earn a whopping 100,000 TA points for that team.
This is a massive opportunity to get caught up if you haven't earned the vouchers that can be exchanged for the Team Affinity cards next week. Just like the 2025 All-Star Game Team Affinity cards, the voucher you get will be exchanged for each team's designated reward.
It's highly likely that the 2025 Finest cards will be Captains, making them the final Captains for the year that will probably boost every card for each respective team. If you haven't played in a while or simply never focused on the Team Affinity grind, you can make massive progress here.
You will also get a ton of free packs even if the 100,000 Team Affinity points doesn't get you to a voucher. I completed the collection for all but a singular team and ended up with over 130 packs, nearly 20 Ballin' packs, a dozen Headliner packs and nearly 10 Deluxe Choice Packs for the premium sets. I had maybe half-a-dozen of the teams to the All-Star game voucher, and never really focused on the Team Affinity grind.
Keep in mind that Double XP and Double PXP are still live through November 4th. That means you'll progress through old programs quickly, including the PXP missions that become insanely easy.
