The newest Multiplayer Program reward cards have been revealed, and we get a slew of new missions to work toward unlocking them.
- 93 Awards Ian Happ (#6 LF True Overall) (100 Stars)
- 94 Manny Machado (#3 3B True Overall) (130 Stars)
Both of these cards land comfortably toward the top of their respective positions in True Overall.
Happ looks quite exceptional for a 93 overall card, featuring 117/100/105 Contact against LHP/RHP/Clutch. With 75 Power against LHP and 82 Power against RHP, Happ's switch-hitting comes with very solid attributes. Even his Vision lands at 74, which might not register as elite but is still quite good. All wrapped up in a free card just for playing online in any mode.
Of course, as a Gold Glove Awards card, Happ features 90 Fielding with 86 Reaction and a solid arm with 70 Speed. Happ is often very popular solely due to the switch-hitting and smooth swing, but this card packs a serious punch. He also features Dead Red, one of the more desirable Quirks.
Machado on the other hand is a more balanced offensive weapon, with 92/104/107 Contact/Clutch splits with a bit more power. Machado kills LHP with 109 Power and brings 85 Power against RHP. I've often enjoyed Machado cards and enjoyed his swing, and this Postseason version also brings Machado's trademark fielding prowess.
With 88 Fielding, you'll get a Diamond fielder at Parallel 2. Machado also has a relative cannon at 3B, with 86 Arm Strength and 87 Reaction to pair with 83 Reaction.
Overall, these two rewards are pretty good and offer folks some interesting new options at their respective positions.
