MLB The Show 25: July Spotlight Drop 2 Pack and Program Breakdown

While we've been grinding through a ton of 2025 MLB All-Star Game content in MLB The Show 25, we still get our second week of July Spotlight content to pair with it. Highlighting the week of games heading into the break, we even see a fan-favorite Diamond Dynasty legend get a 98 in this drop.

98 Spotlight CF Cody Bellinger (New York Yankees) - #7 CF True Overall; #3 1B True Overall

Not the best Bellinger we'll see, but a free 98 is certainly still fun. Bellinger actually rates out better at 1B than his primary of CF, with True Overall seeing him as the third best 1B in DD right now.

98 Giolito is a good example of attributes vs meta viability. True Overall sees Giolito as the #3 SP in DD right now, yet Meta Overall values him as the #35 SP. Giolito's pitch mix is not strong for Diamond Dynasty purposes, and is the type of card you should expect to see get lit up more often than not despite good surface level attributes. Still, it's a fun look into the process as cards will have strong attributes at times and simply not "play up" to the overall rating.
