HRD Collection Breakdown
To unlock 99 OVR Cal Raleigh, you’ll need all 7 of the 2025 HRD Series cards:
- 6 from packs (or marketplace)
- 1 from the program (Rooker)
If you participated in the prediction contest, you received a pack regardless of correct guesses. Additionally, another voucher may become available to you at the conclusion of the 2025 MLB All-Star Game and could serve as another pack toward the collection.
Completing the Home Run Derby Program grants 2 total Home Run Derby cards (Rooker + one choice pack), easing the stub cost for the Collection reward.
Closing Thoughts
Unsurprisingly, 99 overall Cal Raleigh is the #1 Catcher in Diamond Dynasty according to True Overall and Meta Overall. It's hard to top a switch-hitter with 125 Power against both sides and 125 Clutch, with 117/120 Contact splits against LHP/RHP.
It's also worth noting that the 98 overalls from the pack aren't too far off attribute wise from Raleigh. The big thing about Home Run Derby cards is always the lower rated Defense and Speed as the offensive attributes are juiced so much. If you're willing to trade off some defense in the outfield, Buxton and Cruz both rate out similarly in True Overall and are just a smidge behind 99 overall All-Star Game Ketel Marte that was just released as a Chase card. Obviously, Marte is a switch-hitter with slightly better defensive attributes - but it's worth noting how close True Overall ranks the cards despite the defensive deficiencies.
