Maybe I'm old and need to git gud, but that would be taking away from how legitimately great Wood cards typically play.
With the first Weekend Classic approaching, adding Wood to your lineup could provide the ace-level performance needed to dominate and rack up rewards. His ability to overpower hitters and keep them off balance is invaluable in high-stakes matchups.
Closing Thoughts
All the greatest hits on a Wood card are there except Outlier. This card should still touch 100 MPH for you regularly, but the lack of Outlier isn't irrelevant. Still, at this juncture of the content cycle with power creep in full effect; this should be a solid SP for a while. This is highlighted by Wood's top-3 ranking according to Meta Overall, which ranks Wood against the rest of the competitive meta incredibly favorably.
Headliner cards have been near quick-sell value since launch, so this will be a good litmus test for market prices of genuine meta darlings released through Headliners.
