MLB The Show 25 is back with another Ranked Season, and the Ranked 2 World Series rewards bring a dynamic duo with wildly different builds. Plus, Multiplayer Program 2 kicks off its first drop, giving Diamond Dynasty grinders even more incentive to hop online.
Ranked 2 World Series Rewards: Chipper Jones and Martin Dihigo

The new 90 overall Martin Dihigo is arguably the most versatile player we’ve ever seen in MLB The Show. This card isn’t a gimmick—he’s genuinely capable of playing all nine positions and does so with solid fielding, sneaky speed, and well-rounded hitting. Whether you’re short a middle infielder or just want an outfield bat that can spot start at catcher, Dihigo is your new best friend. Dihigo is a SP by trade and actually falls within the top-20 of True Overall. The Meta Overall prefers him at 3B where he debuts as the #12 3B.

The other half of the World Series duo is a new 90 overall Chipper Jones—and he's a bit different than we're used to seeing. While Chipper is a switch-hitter with his trademark buttery swing, this version is very skewed toward crushing lefties and features underwhelming numbers against righties. Even more surprising? A stock 66 Clutch rating, which makes him less of a bopper with runners in scoring position. This should change how you consider deploying this iteration of Chipper.
For optimal use, consider batting Chipper second in your lineup or toward the bottom to set the table rather than be the primary RBI guy. It’s not the endgame Chipper we’re used to, but it’s a fun variant that feeds into the refreshed team building that MLB The Show 25 has featured so far. Regardless of the attribute flavor on this card, Chipper debuts as the #2 overall 3B in both True Overall and Meta Overall.
Multiplayer Program 2 – Drop 1: Kopech, Satchel, and Rewind Rewards
The Multiplayer 2 Program is live today as well. Play any online mode and earn progress by completing various stat and PXP missions.
- 87 Michael Kopech (in Dodger blue!) – Earned at 10 stars

- 89 Satchel Paige – Earned at 50 stars

This drop mirrors the pacing and setup from Multiplayer Program 1 and looks to be the standard blueprint moving forward. Future drops will expand the program with more missions and exclusive rewards—including yet-to-be-revealed cards.
Notably, Rewind Packs make their first appearance:
- World Series Rewind Pack at 90 stars
- Flawless Rewards Pack at 130 stars

These feature rotated-out rewards from previous Ranked and BR programs which helps those of us that missed out. Marketplace prices might not hold as high as year's past, but it does help folks obtain what were once difficult to obtain cards to put toward collections.
Whether you're climbing the Ranked ladder or casually grinding through multiplayer, MLB The Show is cooking with content. We've seen oodles of great content so far, and while some will side-eye the attributes on this Chipper, it's refreshing to see new variations that improve lineup diversity and spice. Everyone loves Chipper's 99 overalls, but there's some strategy involved here if you want to maximize the legend.
What are you most looking forward to from this drop? Let us know!
