MLB The Show 25 Celebrates Summer With Massive Content Drop

Friday content drops have been the lifeblood of content in MLB The Show 25, but this week's mega drop is scorching hot. A new card series dubbed Summer Series debuts, bringing tons of grindable content, cards, and a couple of big-name rewards at the end of the grind.

Summer Series Program

The new Summer Series Program features a 100-star reward track with 93 Nick Castellanos as the ultimate reward.

Hot Streak Moments

A new way to experience Moments brings an arcade-inspired twist:

• Each Moment increases in difficulty
• Each completed Moment unlocks the next
• Bigger difficulty means bigger rewards
• You can use your Diamond Dynasty squad, which is rare for Moments
• You can stop after easier Moments and still earn stars via other methods

Ultimately, this is simply a new collection of Moments within the program and adds additional means to earn stars. "Normal" Moments still exist, but this offers a new challenge for those looking for it.

The packs are setup in a manner that the pullable cards are ultimately fairly cheap compared to previous premium sets. Combined with 9-free cards available from grinding, and collecting the necessary cards for this collection should feel quite a bit easier than previously.

Summer Celebration Mini Season

By completing this Mini Season and its in-game challenges, players can unlock a variety of Summer Series rewards:

• 93 Jose Altuve – championship reward

• Kyle Farmer, Bert Blyleven, Pete Fairbanks – unlockable via challenge tasks
• Premier Summer Pack – earned by tallying 2,500 PXP with Summer Series + Mini Seasons reward cards
• A total of 9 Summer Series cards are earnable through this path alone

Summer Series Collection

The Summer Series Collection rewards players who accumulate cards across the new content:

• 93 Aaron Bummer – collect 11 cards
• 94 Jarren Duran – collect 19 cards
• 95 Adley Rutschman – collect 27 cards

A major update: you do not need the new 95 Willie Mays Chase card or Jackson Holliday special insert to complete this collection—breaking from the previous trend of locking collections behind the most expensive cards. You'll still need to spend Stubs, but not having to shell out for a Chase card or insert card is a big deal and a great change.
