It would be unfair to say that all Spotlight reward cards are boring. For the most part, these free program rewards have been solid cards all year. We're way beyond that this week, as Spotlight Edward Cabrera is the new #1 SP in Diamond Dynasty according to Meta Overall.
The attributes check out with elite 112 H/9 and 113 Clutch, supported by 100 K/9 and 93 BB/9. Add in one of the best possible meta pitch mixes, and we get a clear sense of how this card is beloved by the rankings. A primary Circle Change, Outlier Sinker, with the Slurve/Slider combo having a healthy 5 MPH speed differential, and a 100-MPH 4-Seamer all combine to make Cabrera absolutely lethal. With a tough windup to time, Cabrera immediately becomes the best SP and costs a bit of grinding to earn.

Closing Thoughts
Spotlight Drop 3 brings us the best SP currently available, as well as a top-10 catcher and shortstop. Whether you ever buy the packs or not, getting a top-tier starting pitcher like Edward Cabrera for free is an outstanding program reward. There's plenty of similar-caliber starting pitchers available, but some are incredibly expensive and prohibitively so for many of us. Online and offline players both get a treat this week.
