One of the most exciting aspects of every MLB summer is the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The greatest players in the history of the game are enshrined, and the huge celebration sees all living members on-stage as the new inductees take their rightful place in Cooperstown. MLB The Show 25 celebrates this year's inductees with a huge program, and a couple of collections on the side.

Collections
While Dave Parker and C.C. Sabathia have earnable cards within the program, Dick Allen and Billy Wagner are part of the updated Legends and Flashbacks collections. In order to earn the 99 overall Hall of Fame versions of Allen and Wagner, you'll need to collect vouchers like previously required for Scott Rolen and Ted Williams.
Billy Wagner requires 14 total vouchers while Dick Allen requires 21 total vouchers. These are earned by collecting the required number of cards in each card series, with Wagner and Allen requiring the Jose Bautista vouchers. Bautista is the newest major Legends and Flashbacks collection reward, and each card series has a new "collect x" amount to earn the Bautista vouchers.
Along with the vouchers, collection rewards like Negro Leagues John Donaldson, Moonshot Byron Buxton, Summer Adley Rutschman, etc. earn progress and count as vouchers as well. There are currently 29 total sets featured with collection rewards/vouchers. For more on Collections, visit ShowZone's Collection Tracker to see a real-time breakdown of collection costs and real-time inventory management to remove the guess work for yourself so you can complete collections quicker.
Hall of Fame Billy Wagner debuts as the #1 Closing Pitcher in Diamond Dynasty, Dick Allen debuts as the #2 3B and #1 1B, Dave Parker the #5 RF, and C.C. Sabathia debuts as the #1 Starting Pitcher according to True Overall. Each card also debuts near the top according to Meta Overall, which certainly checks out as these men are considered to be some of the best to ever play professional baseball.
Wagner and Allen won't be too difficult to obtain for anyone that's been actively completing collections during the year. For those like me that haven't, they're very far off in the distance to the point I'm not even actively trying to acquire them. However, adding Parker and Sabathia for free from the program is plenty good for me, as I love Sabathia and getting the top arm in the game for some grinding is a good trade.
Diamond Quest Map

- Rewards:
- 99 Cy Young
- 99 Rod Carew
- Note: Not currently part of any collection, but as more Hall of Fame cards land, it's very likely a Hall of Fame collection tab will be added at some point. Completing the map doesn't directly contribute to completing this program, but the Hall of Fame theme is obviously relevant.
Closing Thoughts
A pretty big program celebrating the new Hall of Fame inductees brings us the current best SP in Diamond Dynasty (True Overall), and a top-10 RF as well. While Wagner and Allen will be tougher to earn via collections, the program itself features some fun passive grinding as you'll earn progress without really trying, and can always circle back around when you're ready to complete for Sabathia.
Obviously, a lot of people were hoping for Ichiro to be a surprise addition as he was also inducted. We haven't seen Ichiro since MLB The Show 19, and there's long been speculation that he has exclusive licensing rights with Konami that will prevent him from appearing in The Show for a while. Though Ichiro didn't make it in this year, we still got 99 overall versions of the legends that are featured and it's a great way to celebrate their contributions to the game.
Congratulations to all 2025 Hall of Fame inductees!
