After Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was officially announced as the cover athlete for MLB The Show 24, all attention turned to February 6. SDS announced that the special collector’s edition would be revealed and fully kick-off the pre-release hype with all pre-orders opening.
Boy was it worth the wait.
Each year, we get a special physical edition of MLB The Show that’s based around a specific theme. Last year was the Captain’s Edition to celebrate the debut of Derek Jeter as a new legend. This year, we’re being treated to an absolutely stunning Negro Leagues Edition.
The Negro Leagues finally came to MLB The Show last year. Not only did we have the chance to use new legends in Diamond Dynasty, but we experienced the incredible Storylines mode that shone a bright light on some of the most iconic Negro League stars. We knew we’d be getting another season of Storylines and new Negro League legends, but the collector’s edition being centered around the Negro Leagues is such a fun development.

As expected once March 19 was revealed as the standard release date, early access for MLB The Show 24 will begin on March 15, 2024.
Players gain early access by pre-ordering the MVP, Digital Deluxe and/or Negro Leagues Editions.
Each tier has bonus content attached in addition to early access.
