Key Updates
Pitchers
We’ve taken the mound to make some essential changes to our pitchers:
- We’ve elevated the importance of BB/9, bridging the gap with H/9 and K/9. This should better reflect the significance of pitch control in this year’s game.
- We’re now varying the Meta Overall for pitchers based on their pitch arsenal. Pitchers with 5 different pitches now gain a slight boost, while those with only 3 pitches see a minor decrease.
- With the introduction of additional quirks this year, we’ve fine-tuned the structure of quirks boosts, opening up even more strategic options for players.
Hitters
At the plate, we’ve also made several substantial adjustments:
- We’ve rebalanced the scales between power and contact while shifting some weight from less crucial fielding metrics to hitting, aligning more closely with how players are currently utilizing hitting-focused cards.
- The Meta Overall for Shortstops has undergone a significant revamp. While previous metas favored high-speed, high-power players, this season has seen the rise of alternatives like Incognito Brandon Crawford and Kaiju Corey Seager.
- With changes to the throwing mechanics this year, we’ve shuffled fielding attributes’ importance, emphasizing the fielding attribute itself and arm accuracy. Of course, 1st base remains dominated by fielding ability itself due to the crucial need of catching potentially off-target throws.
