MLB The Show 26 stayed busy this week, dropping a ton of content that culminated in the Field of Dreams content release. Essentially a three-part content drop, MLB at Field of Dreams highlighted the MLB game held in Iowa at the Field of Dreams Ballpark. This naturally brings the beautiful ballpark into the game, and I'll be playing plenty of games here the rest of the year.
Let's get to the good stuff.
Field of Dreams Recap Program
A very simple and sweet five-Moment recap program highlights the actual game. The Phillies dominated the Twins with a 7-1 victory, and Kyle Schwarber couldn't help himself and homered twice to earn a 99 OVR card.

MLB at Field of Dreams Program Breakdown
Released yesterday, the overarching program features a combination of current players and legends representing the Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Philles - the two Teams that played in the Field of Dreams game.
There's a little leeway in completing this program, depending on how you want to spend your time.
I'm going the quicker route, knocking out the two Moments that are 3-inning games with your Diamond Dynasty squad. You'll play three innings against the Twins, then against the Phillies, and earn 20 program stars with success. These Moments are on All-Star difficulty and will get you roughly halfway through the program. Additionally, there are 30 stars worth of regular Moments that will also be pretty quick to complete.
With 70 stars in the program, you'll now have a handful of Field of Dreams cards to start grinding with. From here, it's just knocking out PXP with the Twins/Phillies and collecting hits with any players.

A nifty feature of the program is that each team gets 99 OVR cards of certified franchise legends.
99 OVR Field of Dreams CF Torii Hunter (Minnesota Twins)
One of the greatest outfielders of his generation, Torii Hunter gets a very nice card here. Known for his otherworldly defense, Hunter was no slouch offensively, as he also launched 353 career home runs. This card is a very good representation of Hunter's career, the perfect fit on the Twins' theme team, and a fun new option for anyone wanting to freshen up their outfield.
99 OVR Field of Dreams SP Roy Halladay (Philadelphia Phillies)
Likewise, one of the greatest starting pitchers of his generation and a Hall of Famer, Roy Halladay represents the Phillies with his 99 OVR Field of Dreams card.
Halladay will be absolutely diabolical in the right hands. With the new ABS strike zone, elite pitchers will be able to paint 4 different pitches with different planes and speeds. Adding Parallel levels will only make Doc nastier, and the Diamond Mods should make him nearly unhittable.
These are free cards! They might not be the indisputable #1 cards at their positions, but they're plenty good and have very unique features about each that are worthy of a few starts.
MLB at Field of Dreams Conquest Map
Those who want to focus purely on grinding can jump into the new Conquest map. There are a whopping 12 stronghold games (36 innings minimum) to complete the map. I always recommend completing the Conquest maps because the loot is too good to pass up. However, in terms of completing the Field of Dreams content quickly, most will probably find it quicker to use the method above. Yet, playing 36 meaningful innings with your squad to unlock new content is also a blast.
If you complete the map, you instantly complete the MLB at Field of Dreams Program. I think this is excellent design, and rewards folks for simply playing the game in their preferred manner. Anyone who prefers online play can use the above method to complete the program quickly, then hop into the Field of Dreams Event.
MLB at Field of Dreams Event Program Breakdown
You'll have the chance to earn a couple more Field of Dreams cards in the event. I'm personally going to wrap up the programs first, then load up with the Field of Dreams series and enjoy some chill event games the next night or two.
The rewards here aren't special but worth the time. A couple of Field of Dreams cards that I imagine will be a part of a collection at some point complement a random Deluxe pack and an Events Remind pack. That's probably about 25-30k worth of Value from the packs just for some quick online games.

I'm a sucker for new pitching cards, so we'll take a closer look at Ryan Weathers.
I love this card on paper enough that I'm buying it to try in Ranked.
A primary circle change is always a good time, with maximum break on the secondary sinker relegating the 4-seamer to Weathers' fifth pitch. This is relevant because Weathers has very strong Control, and his usage rates are very balanced. This means he should be quite easy to locate, and his attributes are all in the above-average range. He doesn't have an outlier 4-seamer, but he'll still top the upper 90's and potentially hit 100.
I have always been a big fan of "off-meta" pitchers simply because they make Ranked games more interesting. Whether Weathers weathers the weather, or Weathers withers in writhing displeasure, I'ma spend my fake virtual currency on Weatherin' Around and Findin' Out.
Chase Pack 22 Featuring 99 OVR Milestone OF Stan Musial (St. Louis Cardinals)
The Chase card has refreshed once again. No meme this week as we get Stan "The Man" Musial, who is decidedly not a switch-hitter but one of the best pure left-handed hitters in the history of the game.
This is a classic vintage player endgame 99 OVR form for Musial. He wasn't the most prolific power hitter, so the power numbers aren't sexy, but this card is going to absolutely rake and will be a stalwart on higher-end teams because of the near-maximum Vision. P5 this guy, slap a Diamond Power/Power Mod on him, and swing away!
