How To Complete the Moonshot Collection in MLB The Show 25
As with every themed set released in MLB The Show 25, the Moonshot series features a collection with a huge reward at the end.
This collection has a unique slant, as there's multiple premium packs housing handfuls of the cards needed to complete this collection. There's also a program that contains many of the required cards, and a new Diamond Quest map.
Collecting all Moonshot cards rewards you with a 92 overall Byron Buxton that collectors will be swooning over.
Moonshot Program

You'll need to spend Stubs one way or the other to complete this program, so you might as well knock out this program first. You can grind this program with various missions to complete it, but if you're going for Buxton as soon as possible you'll need all the pack cards anyway.
Depending on how you want to manage your Stubs, you can either max out your purchases by buying the Full Moon and Eclipse packs in the Show Show and supplement with the Crescent Moon; or simply buy the individual cards.
Completing the Moonshot Program (in any fashion) rewards you with 10 Moonshot cards, which gets you about a quarter of the way to Buxton.
The program cards are:
- Brian Roberts, 2B, Baltimore Orioles (91 OVR)
- Roberto Clemente, RF, Pittsburgh Pirates (90 OVR)
- Luis Arraez, 1B San Diego Padres (89 OVR)
- Josh H. Smith, 3B, Texas Rangers (88 OVR)
- Jose Siri, CF, New York Mets (87 OVR)
- Jhoan Duran, RP, Minnesota Twins (64 OVR)
- Cliff Lee, SP, Cleveland Guardians (64 OVR)
- Jose Alvarado, RP, Philadelphia Phillies (64 OVR)
- Corey Kluber, SP, Texas Rangers (64 OVR)
- Josh Hader, CP, Houston Astros (64 OVR)
Full Moon Pack
The Full Moon pack features the following cards:
- Bo Bichette
- Joc Pederson
- Daulton Varsho
- Brice Turang
- Kerry Carpenter
- Zach Neto
- Harmon Killebrew
- Alan Trammell
- Colt Keith
- Joseph Ortiz
The Eclipse pack features the following cards:
- Jeimer Candelario
- Lou Brock
- Jason Giambi
- Sean Murphy
- Masyn Winn
- J.J. Bleday
- Jesus Sanchez
- Joey Bart
- Andy Pages
- Heliot Ramos
At the time the packs launched, users could purchase up to four of each pack respectively at a cost of 20,000 Stubs per pack. There was also a unique Crescent Moon pack available for 10,000 Stubs, but this pack features a single random card from both packs versus a tiered choice round.
Full Moon and Eclipse are tiered packs, featuring 1:10 odds on the rarest cards (91 overall) and 1:4 odds for the mid-tier.
Diamond Quest

There's also four additional Moonshot cards earnable in the new Diamond Quest map. These cards can also be purchased on the marketplace if Diamond Quest isn't your thing, but you'll save Stubs by knocking out the map. You'll also get a ton of other rewards along the way which can make it a worthwhile pitstop.
The Moonshot cards featured in the Diamond Quest map are:
- Darren O'Day
- Nolan Ryan
- Harrison Bader
- Prince Fielder
Mini Seasons
There's also a new Mini Seasons challenge that rewards six Moonshot cards featuring:
- Rich Gossage
- Tom Seaver
- Michael Busch
- J.P. Crawford
- Jesse Winker
- Tony Gwynn
The important note here is that you must complete the Moonshot-themed Mini Seasons challenge to earn these cards. They cannot be sold or bought on the marketplace.
Sub-Collection Rewards

Along the way to Byron Buxton, you'll also unlock the following cards:
- Carlos Delgado (Collect 16 Moonshot cards)
- Yasmani Grandal (Collect 30 Moonshot cards)
At program launch, there were a total of 40 Moonshot cards from the packs and content grinds. Unlocking Buxton requires 41 Moonshot cards, meaning you can skip a card and still complete the collection when factoring in the sub-collection cards.
Tip: Expect more Moonshot series cards to be released in future packs or content, as well as additional Full Moon, Eclipse, and Crescent Moon packs popping up. This will make the collection cheaper and easier to complete over time.
Moonshot CF Byron Buxton (Minnesota Twins)

At the end of the massive collection, Moonshot Byron Buxton awaits in all his glory.
Buxton is perennially one of the most popular players in Diamond Dynasty, with a dazzling combination of power, speed, fielding, and one of the sweetest swings in the game.
As with all Moonshot series cards, this Buxton features a different dynamic than we typically see. Buxton possesses incredible offensive attributes for a 92 overall card, with 100 Clutch rounding out the profile.
While Buxton has been known in the past for Diamond defense, you're only getting 77 Fielding here but Moonshot Buxton comes with 84 Speed to at least cover the gaps.
Overall, the Moonshot Collection featuring Buxton contains a huge mix and variety of cool cards. Byron Buxton will always be popular, and reigns supreme as the king of Moonshot.
