How To Collect Retro Lightning Ken Griffey Jr. in MLB The Show 25
July has given way to August and the final days of summer are upon us. Some of us are rooting on our favorite teams as they make a playoff push, and some of us are Braves fans. The virtual diamond action has ratcheted up several degrees as the July Retro Lightning player was announced as Ken Griffey Jr.
One of the greatest of all time and perennial Diamond Dynasty favorite, The Kid gets what is arguably one of the greatest cards in the history of Diamond Dynasty.
Spotlight Retro Lightning CF Ken Griffey Jr. (Seattle Mariners)

There's almost nothing to really say about this card. Yes, it's as good as it looks. No...it's better somehow. You can throw pretty much any Griffey card (with his good swing) into the "this card rocks" category, but just look at the attributes on this thing. We talk a lot about "Ruthian" cards with 125 everything offensively, and this card is just short of that level with Diamond Fielding and 90+ Speed. You literally have everything you could want, plus some of the best offensive Quirks.
Retro Lightning Ken Griffey Jr. is easily the best card in MLB The Show 25 and one of the best cards we've ever seen.
Naturally, as a collection reward he'll cost you. Let's take a lot at how much.
How To Unlock Retro Lightning Ken Griffey Jr.

Collection Tracker

As of publication, the range on finishing the collection is between 287,000 and 337,000 Stubs depending on your pack pulls. This is obviously a sizable amount of Stubs, but the return on investment is well worth it with how stacked Retro Lightning Ken Griffey Jr. is. You get a free July Spotlight Any Pack for collecting 3 July Spotlight cards, saving you some Stubs and getting you half way to Griffey.
For reference, Retro Lightning Carlos Santana from April came in at a whopping 600,000 Stubs. That was for a low-90's card at the beginning of the year. Paying nearly half for the best Griffey Jr. we've ever seen seems like a fair deal.
